International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Wednesday 27 January, the mayor and chairman of the Patronat Call de Girona, will preside this commemorative ceremony

January 27th is the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, date chosen to commemorate the liberation of the camp extermination of Auschwitz-Birkenau (Poland) in 1945. It is a Day to keep alive the memory of this barbarism and educate for the future, against intolerance, discrimination and racism.

In Girona, there will be a commemorative ceremony presided by the mayor and chairman of the Patronat Call de Girona, Albert Ballesta i Tura.
