The Girona Museums offer free admission on Sundays during the perimeter confinement

The objective of this initiative is to contribute to cultural activity and promote its enjoyment

Girona City Council will offer free entry to the Cinema Museum, the Girona History Museum and the Jewish History Museum every Sunday while the perimeter confinement is active. In this way, it is intended to contribute to cultural activity and promote its enjoyment by citizens.

To guarantee a safe visit, the museums will comply with all the sanitary measures established in PROCICAT: mandatory mask, hydroalcoholic gel at the entrance and exit of the equipment, safety distance of 2 meters and capacity restricted to 33%.

"With this action, we want to position museums as necessary and useful places of culture for society, and present them as safe spaces, the only ones in the cultural sphere that remain open, and that comply with all the prescribed health and safety measures", affirmed the vice mayor and councilor for Culture of the Girona City Council, Quim Ayats. "We offer museums as places of cultural retreat for all people who want to get closer to the citizen heritage. With this action, all citizens, in these moments of shared difficulties, will be able to approach and enjoy the different museum collections for free around the history and culture of Girona "has added the vice mayor.

Starting this Sunday, November 8, and until the perimeter confinement ends, the citizens of Girona will be able to access The Museum of Jewish History for free every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
