In the Israel of the early 60s, a new generation is growing: the militant Israel not willing to suffer another Holocaust. Aharon, a thirteen-year-old boy with a highly developed inner world, doesn't fit into this mould. His soul seeks refinement, art, things he cannot find at home. As an expression of protest he doesn't grow one centimetre in three years and embarks on a dangerous journey, crossing the border between childhood and adolescence.
