Open doors at the Jewish History Museum

Activity organized within the "International Museum Day" and the "European Night of the Museums" 2013

Saturday, May 18,
Call de Girona

Next May 18th we will celebrate the 35th edition of the International Museum Day. The theme for 2013 is "Museums (Memory + Creativity) = Social Change. International Museum Day". The International Council of Museums (ICOM) established International Museum Day in 1977 to encourage public awareness of the role of museums in the development of society.

In 2013, this event coincides with the European Night of Museums.
The European Night of Museums was created in 2005 by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication. The closing time of the museums is approximately midnight, which allows the public to visit the participating museums by night, for free.

Free entrance to The Museum of Jewish History from 10 pm to midnight, on 18th May.

The permanent exhibition of the Museum offers the discovery of the places of the 'Call', community life, celebrations, traditions and the cultural heritage of the Catalan Jews and Jewesses.
