En la profunda onada is the last volume of the transgender trilogy of greek theme comprising the travel book Un cor grec (2006) and the collection of stories Les Tombes Blanques (2008), this one had the Qwerty prize for best book of short stories in Catalan of the year.
Susanna Rafart i Corominas was born in Ripoll (Ripollès) in 1962. She completed her university studies in Spanish Philology and Catalan Philology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and is licensed in the two specialties in 1985 and 1992, respectively. She is currently Professor of Language and Spanish Literature.
As a poet, she wrote Pou de glaç (2002), Retrat en blanc (2004), Baies (2005) and L'ocell a la cendra (2011). She has received several literary awards as the Senyoriu d'Ausiàs March (1995), the Ciutat de Palma (1999), Carles Riba (2001) or the Cavall Verd in poetry (2006). Her poetry is present in various anthologies and translated into English, Italian, Bulgarian and French.
