The Mauthausen stone

An emotional memory in the exhibition Mauthausen. Graphic Chronicle

In the summer of 1989 Quim Curbet visited the Mauthausen-Gusen camp and when he left, he picked up a a small fragment from the quarry as a souvenir of that impressive experience. After his visit to the exhibition Mauthausen. Graphic Chronicle he has wanted to leave it to us, so that we can show it in the context of the exhibition, as testimony and memory. In his blog he explains his experience on that visit, sad and emotional, but also useful and necessary.

The exhibition can be visited until January 31, 2023, in the temporary spaces of the Museum of Jewish History.
