The European Days of Jewish Culture 2021

The city of Girona joins the initiative with various activities in September

The Patronat Call de Girona, together with the municipalities of Barcelona, ​​​​Besalú, Castelló d'Empúries, Cervera and Tàrrega, participate in the activities that will be held in Catalonia on the occasion of the European Days of Jewish Culture 2021 starting this Sunday. This year, the edition will be dedicated to the theme "Dialogue" and will feature the participation of 36 European countries.

Free activities, organised by Patronat Call de Girona, will be offered in the city of Girona. On Thursday, August 26, the live recording of Rosa Zaragoza's new album, Pura i senzilla com Abigail; today a round table with the local Jewish community took place under the title "Dialogue between cultures". The activities will continue this Sunday, September 5, with an open day doors at the Museum of Jewish History, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and finally on Thursday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m., the dramatized reading “Domicili inconegut” will take place.

This year the European Days of Jewish Culture will take place under the umbrella of the NOA project (Networks Overcoming Antisemitism), promoting the creation of positive narratives around Jewish culture in Europe.
