Pura i senzilla com Abigail. New album by Rosa Zaragoza, now on sale

Rosa Zaragoza sings 9 Hebrew poems by Catalan Jews (11th-15th centuries)

The idea for this CD comes from the book "Poemes hebraics de Jueus catalans segles (XI-XV)" published by Llibres del Mall in 1976, out of print for a long time, whose authors are Eduard Feliu i Mabres and Jaume Riera i Sans. The artist has conceived the album as a tribute to these Catalan Hebraists, for their work to make known these Jewish scholars who lived in Catalonia in the Middle Ages.

With this work, Rosa Zaragoza recognizes this part of our heritage through ancient and Mediterranean music. The musical production and all the arrangements have been carried out by Eduard Iniesta, who also plays the guitar, baglama and bouzouki. With the participation of Rusó Sala (voice and guitar) and Miriam Encinas (percussions).

On August 26, the artist presented these new songs in Girona, in the courtyard of the Bonastruc ça Porta Center, as part of the cycle "Music nights in the call". The album, which was recorded that same day, has been released by Discmedi and has had the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
