Girona starts a series of conferences on memory and history in Judaism

The activity is organized jointly by the Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies and the Ferrater Mora Chair of Contemporary Thought of the University of Girona. A total of five lectures are scheduled to begin on September 30 and will last until November 11.


Girona will start next week a series of conferences on memory and history in Judaism. The program consists of a total of five conferences that will begin on September 30 and will last until November 11, each one given by a specialist in a different aspect of the subject. Specifically, each speaker will make a different approach to the past, the need to remember and the testimony received by future generations, from the fields of philosophy, sociology, literature or film. Hence, the proposal is entitled "Reviving the time lived: memory and history in Judaism".

The activities will be held in the classroom of the Nahmanides Institute of Jewish Studies, and will be free, prior registration through the website of the Patronat Call de Girona.
