Dialogue: central theme of the next European Day of Jewish Culture 2021

The Patronat Call de Girona, as it has been doing since its creation in 1999, will participate in the next edition of Conference 2021

Last week the first (virtual) meeting of the working committee took place to stablish the groundwork for the next celebration of the European Day of Jewish Culture, which will focus on the theme "Dialogue".

In addition to Girona, the AEPJ members from France, Italy, Austria, Poland and Georgia participated in the meeting.
The meeting was coordinated by the AEPJ office in Barcelona.

At the meeting, professors Marta Simón and Laryssa Michalska were invited to present the different concepts of dialogue between cultures from the academic world, to help the coordinators to create a common knowledge based on the subject of 2021. We also have the presence of experts from the National Library of Israel, who once again offered to contribute ideas, resources and materials to develop the activities.

JECJ 2021 will be organized in the context of the NOA project, which is part of the European REC (Rights, Equality and Citizenship) program of the European Commission (2014 to 2020) and in which the Girona Call Board participates through the AEPJ .

NOA (networking Overcoming Antisemitism) a project that aims to combat antisemitism in Europe. It is an association of networks that have come together to assess the policies across areas, from education to culture and security, in order to help them to develop holistic national action plans to address and prevent antisemitism
