The Museum of Jewish History and the Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies reopen their doors

Sanitary protocol for users and visitors of our equipment

The Museum of Jewish History and the Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies will reopen next Thursday, June 4 after more than 2 months of confinement. During the closing, the team of the Museum and the Institute have continued working to get everything ready to receive you again.

To visit the Museum of Jewish History, we would appreciate if you follow these guidelines:

Type of visits: until June 30th, the visits will be individual or a small family group living together, with a reduction to a 30% of the total capacity of the Museum (you'll find indications of the maximum number of people allowed throughout the visit). During July and August, the capacity will be expanded to 50%.

Hygienic guidelines: Thank you for wearing a mask and for washing your hands with the hydroalcoholic gel that you'll find at the entrance of the Museum. We will also appreciate that you don't touch the showcases, respect the distance of at least 2 meters between people/family groups and avoid crowded situations.

Other measures that we have implemented are: recommended payment by credit card, out-of-service lockers and use of audio guides through your devices (you will find them both on our website as well as the Visitmuseum website / app).

We will be at your disposal for any information you need during the visit.

The reopening of the museum is an invitation to citizens to rediscover the heritage of Girona and enjoy the magnificent legacy of the city. Therefore, we will offer free admission to the Museum until June 18th.

The opening hours will be as usual.

In relation to the Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies, until June 30th access to the library will be individual and limited to people who have requested an appointment at least 24 hours in advance at reserves.callgirona@ajgirona.cat.
