In parallel with the exhibition Jewishwood. The Jewish contribution to the birth of Hollywood, we propose a series of 4 meetings to discuss literary works that have been made into films: "Del llibre a la gran pantalla".

Fourth session: Enemies, a Love Story, by Isaac Bashevis Singer.

Herman Broder survived the Holocaust thanks to Yadwiga, a Polish peasant who hid him during the war. Afterward, he settles in New York with her, marrying her out of gratitude though he does not love her. His life becomes even more complicated with the presence of Masha, his lover, and Tamara, his first wife whom he believed to be dead and who suddenly reappears.
