In parallel with the exhibition Jewishwood. The Jewish contribution to the birth of Hollywood, we propose a series of 4 meetings to discuss literary works that have been made into films: "Del llibre a la gran pantalla".

First session: David Golder, by Irène Némirovsky.

David Golder, a banker of Ukrainian Jewish origin, falls into ruin after a heart attack and being abandoned by his family. Although impoverished and ill, he retains the fighting spirit that once took him from poverty to wealth. When a new business opportunity arises, he risks even his life to regain his lost fortune and, above all, the love of his daughter.
