MOT. Festival de Literatura

Milena, entre Viena i Praga

Activity within the framework of the festival MOT 2024

Tuesday, March 12,
Institut d'Estudis Nahmànides

This year the MOT festival in Girona and Olot celebrates 10 years with an edition dedicated to literary autofiction, from March 14 to 23. This year's theme is "FROM WITHIN. Literature and the self", focusing on the writer, his/her perspective and own sensitivities.

The Patronat call de Girona participates in this festival with a dialogue between Monika Zgustova (Czech writer and translator), Maria Josep Balsach (art historian and essayist) and Sílvia Planas (historian) around the figure of Milena Jesenská (Czech journalist, writer and translator, born in Prague in 1896) and her relationship with Frank Kafka, based on Zgustova's book Soy Milena de Praga (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2024).

Activity in Catalan.
Free assistance with prior registration.

Organized by: Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies (Patronat Call de Girona). Entrance: Força Street
