Museums and Liceu: a shared history

Exhibition on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the Gran Teatre del Liceu

In commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, various cultural facilities in Catalonia are exhibiting a piece from their collections to reconstruct the history of the Liceu from multiple angles.

The Museum of Jewish History exhibits the original libretto of the opera La juive, by the composer Fromental Halévy, premiered at the Gran Teatre del Liceu during the 1859 carnival in its Italian version, under the title of L'ebrea.
