Call de Girona

January 27th is the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, date chosen to commemorate the liberation of the camp extermination of Auschwitz-Birkenau (Poland) in 1945. It is a Day to keep alive the memory of this barbarism and educate for the future, against intolerance, discrimination and racism.

In Girona, there will be a commemorative ceremony presided by the mayor and chairman of the Patronat Call de Girona, Mr. Carles Puigdemont, the Mayor of Besalu, Mr. Lluis Guinó, and the Mayor of Castelló d'Empuries, Mr. Xavier M. Sanllehí. Speeches by Anna Maria García and Josep Calvet.

Background music: Filharmonia Choir, under the direction of Irene Llongarriu.

This event will take place in the of the Museum of Jewish History (St. Llorenç Street)
