Book presentation by Jordi Cervera and Riccardo Lufrani
Wednesday, October 3,
Call de Girona
The event will be presented by Albert Riera, manager of Girona town council, Mònica Estruch, Editorial Mediterrània director, and Barbara Virgil, hebrew teacher in the Call of Girona, with the presence of the authors.
The 8th April of 1910, Dom Bonaventure Ubach, monk of Montserrat, started a journey along the Sinai Peninsula and the Arabia Pétria accompanied by the Belgian priest Joseph Vandervorst. Both were students of l'École Biblique et Archéologique Française of Jerusalem. They followed the same itinerary that his master Marie Joseph Lagrange and other Dominicans of this school did before.
One hundred years later, the authors repeat the same trip like the Catalan monk did.
The presentation will take place at the Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies (entrance through Sant Llorenç street) at 7 pm.
