The samples presented in this exhibition have letters or Hebrew inscriptions, all associated with religious customs or used as worship objects at home or in the synagogue. In addition to its artistic and decorative value, inscriptions serve as historical documentation. In the sample there are different types of writing, either copied by professional scribes either by popular artists. Each font is characteristic of a Jewish community in a specific place in the world.
