Carles Vivó's giant and giantess celebrate their 25th anniversary

Charlemagne and Anna Gironella preside over the entrance to the City History Museum exhibition in honour of their creator Carles Vivó.

On the last morning of this year's Sant Narcís Festival, the giants' get-together attracted participants from 21 giants associations coming from all over Catalonia, and provided an occasion to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Carles Vivó's creations Charlemagne and Anna Gironella who were, of course, the star turns of the event.
Charlemagne and Anna Gironella opened the exhibition -Carles Vivó. A Life of Many Paths- with an inaugural dance on Plaça de la Catedral organised by Fal·lera Gironina association. The giant and giantess now stand welcoming visitors at the entrance to the City History Museum exhibition room, and they will also play the leading role at the closing event scheduled for Sunday 6 February 2011. On that day, Charlemagne and Anna Gironella will perform a farewell dance at 12 noon, and then take children and their families on a guided walk through the Old Town to learn all about the legends of Carles Vivó.
