The Long Night of the Museums is back

The Long Night of the Museums will be coming back for the fourth time at the city's museums on 17 May, with an open day lasting until midnight, plus the museums' programmes of parallel activities.

The Long Night of the Museums was initiated by the French Ministry of Culture, and has the backing of the European Council. The aim of this project is to offer a different, creative way of visiting museums to a wide-ranging public. The doors of the City History Museum will stay open until midnight, and visitors can see the permanent collection, the flower arrangements, and the temporary exhibition. In addition a guided tour will be put on at 8 o'clock p.m. to see the temporary exhibition The women's city. Women and artistic creation in Girona (from the tenth to the eighteenth centuries), the tour being led by the exhibition's curator.
