Girona City Council and Girona's Studies Institute drive historical reserarch scholarship Lluís Batlle Prats

The initiative is part of the joint actions that both institutions undertake this in 2015 under the agreement reached by the History Museum of Girona.

The first edition of Historical Research Fellowship Dr. Lluís Batlle Prats aims to promote and carry out research in Social Sciences and Humanities in the territory of the city of Girona. The scholarship will be awarded to the best unpublished project in the fields of history, art, archeology and geography related to the city of Girona. The first call will prioritize projects related to the impact of water in the city of Girona and its surrounding areas from the system, eco, agriculture, industry and economics, among others. The amount of the grant will be 4,000 euros.
From March 19 to July 2 will be held in the lecture series Charlemagne and Girona. History and legend , 1200 to mark the anniversary of the death of Charlemagne. The cycle is completed with a guided tour of the Chapel of the Holy Doctors and the Treasury-Cathedral Museum in June.
As for the 5th edition of Girona History Conference, which will be held on 12 and 13 November 2015 auqest the theme Monasteries and convents in Girona . The Council and the IEG added to the commemoration of the ancient monastery of St. Daniel.
The activities are added to the cycle routes to the modern Girona, in the framework of the exhibition on display at the Museum of History. In total will be 11 routes, which will last until June. Already attended more than 130 people.
