Today died the Girona sculptor Paco Torres Monsó at 92

The artist received several awards, the latest National Cultural Award for Visual Arts in 2013

The sculptor Paco Torres Monsó died this evening at the Santa Caterina Hospital of Salt. Earlier this year he had suffered a heart attack which had forced him to be admitted to the Hospital Josep Trueta. Yesterday, however, he was transferred to a hospital in Salt where he died. He was 92, of which over 70's has been dedicated to the art of sculpture. Until recent times has been active his workshop Girona Santa Eugenia Avenue.
