The City History Museum of Girona devoted a day to the copla and his instruments

On 27 April they discovered the origins gerundenses of the Catalan traditional dance, the sardana.

It gave to know a slope of our popular culture, devoted to the history of the national dance of Catalonia, the sardana, and of the musical training to interpret it, the copla. With a visit to the room
to charge of the professor of the Universitat of Girona and of the Conservatoire of Music of Girona, Lluís Brugués. And a conference and workshop of the copla of three quartants, to charge of the director of the School of Music of Olot, Xavier Pallàs. The copla of three quartans is the ancestor of the copla, a training of few musicians, with the flabiol and the tamborí, the sack of moans and the tarota.
