Girona City History Museum is currently showing a retrospective exhibition of works by Lluís Bosch Martí and Bep Marquès. The two artists created Grup Praxis 75 at the end of the Franco period and continued to work throughout the nineteen eighties and nineties, using characteristic procedures and techniques deriving from collage, photo-collage and photomontage. Their creative combinations of texts and images became an instrument in the political and ideological struggle and/or an account of the reality of their times. The exhibition has received two thousand visitors to date.
The 3rd bonart prize-giving ceremony will take place at 8pm on Friday 27 January in Miquel Martí i Pol room at the Valvi Foundation (Gran Via Jaume I, 42).
The other prize-winners are the Valvi Foundation (presided by Joaquim Vidal) for promoting contemporary art in Girona province; Ingràvid Empordà Festival of Contemporary Culture (Rafael Camps and Esther Pujol); and Isaki Lacuesta, film director and author of El cuaderno de barro, a documentary on artist Miquel Barceló.
