Open doors at the Museum of Jewish History

Sunday, September 6th - 10 h
Museu d'Història dels Jueus

As every year, the Museum of Jewish History joins the celebration of the European Days of Jewish Culture.

These celebrations revolve around a central theme that inspires a wide range of decentralised, diverse and inclusive activities. This year's theme, Love, invites participants to explore love as an essential value in Jewish tradition and life.

Sunday 6 September, open doors day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The permanent exhibition invites visitors to discover the Jewish Quarter, community life, festivals and traditions, and the cultural heritage of Catalan Jews. The temporary exhibition Cavitas features paintings by Sandra Guiloff that use emptiness and pictorial fiction to question the limits of representation in the face of today's hyperreality. Through abstract landscapes and imagined forms of nature, the exhibition invites visitors to embrace uncertainty and to see painting as a space of resistance.

Organized by: European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture and Heritage (AEPJ). In collaboration with: Patronat Call de Girona
