3D Models

The promotion of Girona as an inclusive destination for the enjoyment of everyone is one of the feats within the Strategic Tourism Plan. The Girona City Council has added accessible materials aimed at visually impaired people in the Tourism Office.

The Tourism Office displays a textured map of the historic centre of Girona on which the main cultural attractions of the city are located that can be consulted freely. It also has 3D models of different emblematic spaces in the city: the Girona Cathedral, the Basilica of Sant Feliu, the monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants, the Plaça de l'Assumpció and the modernist buildings of Rafael Masó: la Farinera Teixidor and the Casa Teixidor (or Casa de la Punxa). These are available to visually impaired people and tour guide companies who organise adapted visits. They are lent free of charge by booking, at least 48 hours in advance, via email at turisme@ajgirona.cat.
