Typical products from Girona
- The 'xuixo', is a speciality cake that you will find in many of the city's patisseries.
- The sweet 'botifarra' pork sausage is a food that dates back to medieval times, the invention of which is argued with Empordà. It can be obtained fresh or cured.
- Local souvenirs: t-shirts, decorative ornaments, jewellery, etc., can be bought in the souvenir shops located in the Old Town, and other places around the city.
- Black earthenware, used to be very popular in the area. Today, production only continues in Quart, a town situated five kilometres from the city. Some establishments offer reproductions of figures created by Fidel Aguilar, a 'noucentista' (Nineteen-hundreds Style) sculptor from Girona from the first quarter of the 20th century. Some of his work can be found in the city's streets and gardens.
- Chocolates inspired by the city's legends, such as the flies of Sant Narcís.
- Iron craftwork produced by some of the city's craftsmen.
- Painting, sculpture, photography and other form of expression by local artists, can be found in the galleries and exhibition rooms around the city.
- Objects produced by craftsmen who set up their stalls on the Pont de Pedra, every Saturday.
