Walls & Fortifications

The rehabilitation of the town wall has converted a part of the system of defence into an exceptional walk where a different perspective of the town can be enjoyed. From the towers, now turned into privileged view points you can take pleasure in the spectacular vistas of Girona and surroundings.

The longest stretch conserved can be reached from the Jardí d'Infància, on the banks of the Onyar river or from the high part of the Barri Vell, the Jardins de la Francesa. The Sant Pere section, a fantastic viewpoint over the Passeig Arqueològic and the cathedral, can be reached from the gardens of John Lennon.
