New materials for the visually impaired at the Tourist Office
10/11/22 | From the summer of 2022, the Tourist Office has incorporated new materials for people with visual impairment or blindness. The equipment has a relief map of the historic center of Girona on which the main cultural attractions of the city are located. The map, located next to the tourist desk, can be consulted freely.
On the other hand, the Office has added 3D models of different emblematic spaces in Girona as a tourist resource. Specifically, the Cathedral of Girona, the basilica of Sant Feliu, the monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants, the Plaça de l'Assumpció and the modernist buildings of Rafael Masó the Farinera Teixidor and the Casa Teixidor (or Casa de la Punxa ). These models, designed by the Tangencial cooperative, are available to people with visual impairments and to guide companies that offer adapted tours.
