Public lighting of the Hanukkah candles, the Jewish festival of lights, with music performances and a sufganiyot tasting, a traditional sweet cake of this festivity.
Hanukkah commemorates the victory of the Jews over the Greek occupation (2nd century BC) and the subsequent purification and renewal of the Temple. The tradition is to light an eight arm candelabra, called Hanukkah, gradually for eight days, every evening with a candle.
