Theremin Tourette (Galicia) and Aleix Gorgorió and Josep Font (Girona), winners of the first edition of FIMG


From 30th July to 2nd August, thousands of people have enjoyed the 19 finalists' projections displayed on four emblematic façades of the city.

On Sunday, 3rd August in the Plaça dels Jurats in Girona, the mayor of the city gave out the competition prizes. In the professional category, Theremin Tourette's project Geren-Tertïa, which was shown at the Casa Pastors, took first place and a prize of 12,000 euros. The Intro MXGEU project by Yocondo/Ratio (shown at the Casa Masó), and the project titled "El cicle de la vida" (The circle of life) by Xavier Bové (shown at the Casa Pastors) were awarded ex aequo the second-place prize of €5,000.

In the open category, the first prize was awarded to Aleix Gorgorió i Josep Font's project, "It's in your hands", which was shown on the façade of the Town Hall, and won 2,000 euros and a software license. The Tafaneries project by MésMedia Cultural shown at the Casa Masó façade achieved second place, with a 1,000-euro prize and a software license. Lastly, the Escola Pericot was awarded first place in the educational category, and won school materials valued at 1,000 euros, and the Escola Annexa came in second, with 500 euros' worth of school materials.

The festival kicked off on Wednesday, 30th July with a performance titled "Oníric" created by the Canadian studio Moment Factory. It was created especially for this event and took hundreds of spectators on a turbulent journey of creativity through the subconscious.
