FIMG Technical Seminars place Girona as the epicentre of professional and technical mapping


On July 30 and 31 professionals and companies linked to the world of mapping will meet in the Technical Seminars of the International Mapping Festival of Girona (FIMG).

9 talks, two workshops and a round table discussion form the program of the Technical Seminars to be held on 30 and 31 July at the Centre Cultural La Mercè in the International Mapping Festival of Girona, which is place from 31 July to 3 August 2014. Some of the topics to be discussed at the conference are the museum mapping project of the church of Sant Climent de Taüll, large format mappings, interactive presentations of products, 3D techniques or aspects to consider when hiring a mapping.

Technical Seminars will start with the master class "Giving new meaning to public spaces" by Matei Paquin, Moment Factory's head of strategic development projects, where he will explain which explain how artistic creativity and multimedia technology help citizens and visitors are given a chance to appropriate public spaces, enhancing feelings of belonging and anchoring the destination's identity.
