Miguel-Anxo Murado

(Lugo, 1965) Is a writer and author of more than twenty books of fiction and essays, these latter mainly about issues of cultural history. His last work is an essay about historiography "The Invention of the Past. Truth and Fiction in the History of Spain". He has also written or directed a dozen of documentaries and dramatic short films for television and cinema. As a journalist, he covered the wars in the Balkans and was correspondent for the newspaper El Mundo in Jerusalem during the years of the Second Intifada. He was director of communications at the Fine Arts Circle of Madrid and director of the cultural radio station Radio Círculo. He is currently a regular contributor to the BBC and The Guardian and, occasionally, contributor to the network Cadena SER and The New York Times.
