El Tarlà

Do you love happy ending tales? This is your legend!

This nice story happened when Girona was devastated by the bubonic plague. The governement closed Argenteria street in order to control the plague. A boy that lived in this street everyday did somersaults and jumped in order to amuse the people. Therefore they did not think about the plague and that they were closed. He got married with the pastry cook's daughter, who was a very sweet and beautiful girl.
Nowadays, Girona has a wooden boy similar to "el Tarlà" Every spring they hang it between two balconies and it turns around a bar. It is very nice! Come to Girona in spring and see it!!!
