RENFE launches its ‘I Love February’ campaign, which includes a competition to win a mini-break in Girona
09/02/17 | This February, national rail operator Renfe has launched a promotional campaign offering high-speed train tickets with discounts of up to 70% and is running an Instagram competition to win mini-breaks in four cities in Spain, including Girona.
Renfe’s ‘I Love February’ promotional campaign provides romantic get-aways to different cities in Spain, offering 600,000 train tickets at special prices, with discounts of up to 70%. The promotion is valid from 1 to 28 February 2017 and various destinations are taking part, including, for the first time, Girona.
In addition to the discounts, the company is also running an Instagram competition. Participants have to share a photograph that combines railways and romance with the tag #ILoveFebrero and mention @renfeoficial. The competition kicked off on 6 February at 12 o’clock and will remain open until 13 February at 12 o’clock. The four best photographs will be chosen from among all those taking part and the prizes will be a romantic break in Salamanca, Valencia, Gijˇn or Girona. In the case of Girona, the break includes two return train tickets, two nights in a hotel, dinner for two, a guided tour and a trip on the Girona City Tour tourist train. This campaign involves the collaboration of the Girona Hotel and Catering Association, the Girona Tourist Guides Association and the City Tour managed by the company JuliÓ Tours.
