Orienteering circuits in nature: discover Girona's green spaces

22/12/15 | Orienteering circuits are an enjoyable activity for groups and families seeking new leisure options.

Hortes de Santa Eugènia allotments and Sant Daniel Valley are two of the most popular green spaces in Girona, with orienteering circuits providing an entertaining and original way to discover these areas.

The orienteering circuit through Hortes de Santa Eugènia allotments - straddling the municipal areas of Girona and Salt- is mainly designed for walkers, but can also be enjoyed by cyclists. The allotments are a natural agricultural space along the banks of the River Ter, stretching out until Deveses de Salt nature area. The route takes approximately two hours to cover.

The Sant Daniel Valley orienteering circuit is designed for cyclists; several alternative sections enable the route to be adapted for different types of public and levels of difficulty. Mountain bikes are recommended for this activity.

The above circuits offer low difficulty and are suitable for all types of public. A map of the control points along the routes can be downloaded from the website or collected from the Tourist Office.
