Increased international train service between Catalonia and France

23/03/15 | Renfe and SNCF are expanding the Barcelona-Paris service with a third daily scheduled train from 30 March. The new train will depart from Barcelona at 13.25 and from Paris at 16.07.

From Monday 30 March until 30 August, the organisation Renfe-SNCF in Cooperation will expand the Barcelona-Paris connection with a new scheduled service in both directions. This will mean that the two capitals are connected by three daily trains in each direction.
The new service will depart from Barcelona at 13.25, arriving in Paris at 19.53; and in the other direction, the departure from Paris Gare de Lyon will be at 16.07, arriving in Barcelona at 22.42. With the launch of this additional service, the Barcelona-Girona-Figueres rail link will offer a total of 14 daily Avant trains in each direction.

In addition, to meet the increased demand produced during the summer, tickets are already on sale for the fourth daily train between Barcelona and Paris, and vice versa, which is due to begin operating on 5 July.

With this new offer, Renfe-SNCF in Cooperation will be providing six trains between Spain and France in the spring, and, from 30 June, there will be seven services connecting Catalonia with Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse.
