Girona is the city with the best online reputation in Spain
20/02/15 | The hotel price comparison website Trivago has published a report on the reputation of Spanish tourist destinations after analysing more than 7 million hotel reviews on the Internet
Trivago has studied the reputation of Spain's tourist destinations, analysing all regions and forty cities individually.
The results indicate that the city of Girona has received the best reviews from users and, in fact, is the only city in Spain to have earned more than 83 points out of a total of 100. In second place was Ronda and in third place Santiago de Compostela.
The reviews analysed were taken from web pages that Trivago includes in its system, such as Expedia and Venere. This study has revealed that the sites' users tend to prefer small, family hotels where they receive more personalised attention, as usually occurs in small and medium-sized cultural cities.
Trivago is a hotel price comparison website that speeds up the search and booking process by showing prices for hotels all over the world in real time, available on 200 online booking portals. Trivago operates in 50 countries and 31 languages, and receives more than 80 million visits per month.
