Girona City Council launches Club Girona Cultura to make culture more accessible to all

31/12/14 | Girona City Council has launched a new initiative named Club Girona Cultura as part of its ongoing commitment to making culture available to everybody, both regular users and consumers and new audiences alike.

Club Girona Cultura takes the form of a membership card which users can sign up for online at www.girona.cat/clubcultura. The card gives holders access to discounts and special offers for attending shows and cultural events, advantages when purchasing tickets, exclusive and unique experiences and personalised communication, among other benefits. The Club Girona Cultura card can also be used as a municipal library card.

Those interested can also sign up for the Club in person at Girona City Council's Citizen's Information and Attention Offices (OIAC), at the Carles Rahola Library and at the Tourist Office on the Rambla. Membership cards will be sent out from 1 February 2015 onwards, but in the meantime registered members can take advantage of the benefits by quoting their membership numbers.

Although the cards will all look the same, the advantages may differ depending on whether the holder is a resident of Girona and on their age. For this reason, there will be three different types of membership available: culture card for citizens of Girona; culture card for citizens of Girona aged between 16 and 25, and a general culture card.
