Girona working to obtain Sports Tourism Destination certification
10/12/14 | Girona City Council is in the process of being officially recognised as a Sports Tourism Destination (DTE) by the Catalan Tourism Agency.
This certification is awarded to municipalities that hold a seal of specialisation that recognises tourist destinations offering high-quality resources and services for elite sportspeople, professionals, amateurs and tourists who want to practice sports or attend sporting events.
