Girona introduces audioguides in municipal museums using the Girona In app

In another move towards connecting new technologies with the city's heritage, Girona City Council is introducing new audioguides in its municipal museums. The guides are a new feature of the Girona In app for mobile devices which allow users to select detailed descriptions of pieces in the Girona History Museum, the Museum of Jewish History and the Museum of Cinema while they are visiting these museums. The audioguides are available in four languages: Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
This application enables users to go beyond the traditional visit, as it provides more precise and personalised information, bringing history and heritage to life and greatly improving visitors' experience. It also provides the possibility for everyone to enjoy a visit of the same quality as that offered by a guided tour.
The audioguides can be accessed through the Museums section of the Culture page of Girona In or by scanning the QR codes corresponding to each of the pieces and spaces in the different museums.
