In the city of Girona's archives there is a great deal of documentation referring to the Jewish community of Girona, in municipal registers, notarial protocols and ecclesiastical documentation. A first catalogue of these documents can be consulted in: ESCRIB└, Gemma, FRAGO, Pilar, Documents dels jueus de Girona, 1124-1595. Girona: Ajuntament de Girona, 1992.
Other testimonies in Hebrew writing that have survived are the gravestones on the mountain of Montju´c, in the cemetery or fossar dels jueus, now displayed in the Museum of the Jewish History.
Some of the books and documents conserved in Catalan archives, as well as the Municipal Archive, contain drawings that depict Jewish personages or symbols in their pages, thus constituting a portrait, an idealization, or mockery of the Jewish community.
