Collection of drawings and caricatures of Jewish personages

Several Catalan archives preserve drawings of Jewish characters or symbols. Most of these representations come from documents that refer to Jewish communities in Catalan towns, such as special ordinances for Jewish people or, more commonly, the libri iudeorum, which contain notarial contracts made by Jews. Most of these drawings are caricatures and, beyond characterizing Jews with capes and badges, they present various slanderous attributes.
