With the industrial revolution, new places appeared in cities designed exclusively to house factories and other industrial premises. Despite the fact that the first industrial areas were created inside the city walls, it soon became clear that they should be moved to new areas due to the limitations they encountered inside the walled city and the dangerous nature of some factories.
