Courtyard of the museum with the cloister fragment or fountain.
Between 1753 and 1762 the Capuchin monks laboured on the construction of a retaining wall that would shore up the ground drop between Força and Ballesteries streets. The top of the embankment was used as a flower and vegetable garden.
This is probably from the fountain of a late Romanesque cloister, having stood for much of the 20th century outside Sant Domènec convent in Girona, although its provenance is unknown. It is currently kept in the courtyard of the City History Museum.
