The identity from absence: the imagined otherness and a nation building
New lecture series by the Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies and Chair Ferrater Mora of Contemporary Thought of the University of Girona
This year, the cycle will be dedicated to the question of identity; specifically, the construction of the identity from the absence and, particularly the construction of Catalan identity from the absence of the Muslim and Jewish communities that until the end of the Middle Ages had coexisted in the lands of the Crown of Aragon.
