Benjamin de Sefarad

A new educational project of the Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters

In the month of March, and upon initiative of the city of Lucena, the Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters has approved this pedagogic project under the name of "Benjamin de Sefarad", which aims to promote didactic activities around history and heritage taking advantage of the structure of the Network.

In Girona, the presentation took place yesterday at IES Vicens Vives with the professors and Girona Deputy Mayor for Education Mrs. Isabel Muradas, as well as the board Patronat Call de Girona. 120 students will participate and will carry out exchanges with other students from Besalú and Castelló d'Empúries as well. The activities will take place between October and April.

Throughout the project the pupils will carry out different studies and works on the Jewish past of each city by means of different resources and areas. The final presentation of the results will be available on the website of the Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters.
