Rusó Sala: "Mare nostra"

Concert included within the "Nights of Music in the Jewish quarter"

Thursday, August 11,
Call de Girona

"Mare Nostra" by Rusó Sala is a creative show proposing a tour of the musical traditions of the Mediterranean -the mother of our culture-, while at the same time establishing a dialogue between those and songs of present day singer-songwriters.

Sephardic songs, Arab-Andalusian melodies, texts by Raymond Llull, folklore of the Maghreb, troubadour songs, own compositions- a whole mosaic of Mediterranean languages and sounds, where vocals and guitar dance to the rhythm of percussionist Aleix Tobias, creator and director of the Iberian percussion orchestra Coetus.

Rusó Sala: guitar and vocals
Aleix Tobias: percussion
